Student/Parent Etiquette
All students are expected to be well-behaved, courteous, honest, and to abide by the rules of The Dance Studio.
Attitudes that are disrespectful, uncooperative, or aggressively competitive do not have a place at TDS. Any parent or student exhibiting these attitudes will be asked to leave. Nikki Brantley and The Dance Studio has the right to refuse services to any one at any time.

There will be no rough-housing, loud voices or running in the building.
Parents of young students may be asked to remain in the building for the duration of the class in case there is a need of some kind.
Students are expected to keep the bathrooms, dressing room, waiting areas, and classrooms neat and clean. Please do not bring food or gum into the studio. Water bottles are welcome during class!
Dancers should use the restroom before class.
There will be no hanging, playing, sitting, or climbing on either the wall barres or center barres.
During class, students are expected to listen closely when an instructor is correcting another student so that they may also learn from the correction.
Students will not talk during class and will raise their hands to be called on.
The only jewelry permitted to be worn in the classroom are small earrings.
All cell phones must be turned off during class.
Parents are invited into the classroom to observe class on Parent Observation weeks.
The last week of class in November and the last week in March will be parent observation weeks. Parents are not allowed to watch class at any other time. Please wait it the waiting room or parking lot while your student is in class.
Please notify the Director if you would like to be a room mom for your student's class. Room mom duties include waiting during class to help students with shoes, calling parents if needed, taking messages for the instructor, and helping backstage during performances.
